Robin Hood
What a cute kid!!!

So we have had a fun month....its getting cold and even snowed for 3 days!!!! All I have to say about snow is i hope no more comes all winter!!! That is what I am praying for..... Anyway fall is beautiful here in the North East!!! We love all the fun colors. Grandma and Grandpa came to visit and it has been a blast. We know that we live SOOOO far away but we are very grateful for their efforts in coming to see us. But since they have been here....we went Trick-or-treating at the mall....Benjamin did not want to put his costume on and was soooo scared from all this costumes and didn't really like Halloween this year...but it was still fun for us to get his candy and eat it!! We went bowling with G&G Romney and Benjamin had a blast....that was his first time going and he has been talking about it ever since. There is an awesome restaurant in downtown State college that we went to and I think that they had the best Alfredo I have ever eaten! Penn State as an ice cream creamery that we got tasty delights there.....Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream came to Penn State to learn how to make "the best ice cream." We also went to the Way Fruit Farm and had homemade cooking for lunch and fresh apples right from the tree....also homemade apple cider donuts....sooo good!!! So we wanted to THANK Grandma and Grandpa for the wonderful time and thank you for spoiling us!!! Please come again soon....and anyone else can come and visit too!!! Love you all...the Steele's

Trick or Treating at the Mall in State College PA.....

Mom and I are in State College, PA with Tiff, Dave and Benjamin.
It is Halloween night and we are busy passing out candy to the
people that are stopping by. Benjamin was a very cute Robin Hood,
but was not quite sure he liked the other costumes.
We flew to Pittsburg and drove about 4 hours to State College.
They call this the jewel of PA. It is very beautiful here - very much
like the Philadelphia area.
Dave took us on a tour of the Penn State Law School. It is a new
building and is very impressive. The library and study areas are
very nice. We are very proud of David and his hard to get into
law school and the work he is doing to pass with top honors.
We had a great time in Salt Lake City for the Witch's night out celebration.
Mom, Aunt Marilyn and I went out to the Homestead Resort and
checked out all the activities that we can plan to enjoy next summer when
we all show up for next family reunion.
I hope that you all listened to teachings of President Monson in the October
conference. His message was "Have you done any good in the world today?"
I hope we are all thinking about how we can practice this council.
We love you all and we look forward to the next two months for the
Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays.

Grandma and Granpa Romney

Dear Family -
I write this message on Saturday 10-3-09
after I have heard the first session of
General Conference. I want to express to
each of you how greatful I am for the blessings
that Father in Heaven so freely gives to Me,
Your Mother and each of you and your
children. I want to express my love for each
of you. Each of you are so special in the
sight of your Father in Heaven and in the
sight of your earthly Father. What a great
blessing we all have to listen to voice of God
and Christ from the voices of the General
Authorities. I know that God lives, I know
that Jesus Christ died for our sins and that
we can all be forgiven of our Sins through
his Atonement. I know that the Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint is true and
has the fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I know that Joseph Smith is the first prophet
of this dispensation and that Thomas S.
Monson is the current prophet that speaks
for our Father in Heaven. I am greatful for
the opportunity to serve others through
church service. I encourage all of us to
read and practice the teachings we have
heard in the first session of conference today.

September has been a great month to
interact with the family. Last weekend
Reed, Summer, Dalin and Avery were here
along with Mike, Paula, Joseph, Rachel and
Julie Anna. We had a great time in various
activities. Paula's family had a great time
at Disney Land.
Mom and I look forward to our Trips in October
to Salt Lake City and out to see Tiffany, Dave
and Benjamin over the Halloween weekend.
Again I love you all and pray for you safety and
success in all aspects of your lives but
especially in keeping the commandments,
reading the scriptures, having family home
evenings and express love for each other.

So here is a random picture of Benjamin and Sophie on Dave's Dads boat. But my computer is not recognizing my memory card from my camera anymore so I am having a hard time uploading any new pictures....unless I can use Dave's computer.....but he uses it for school....so if you want to see any new pictures go to my own family blog...

But we are doing great beside computer problems. Benjamin is getting bigger everyday and becoming more of a conversationist!!! Its very funny what he trys to have a conversation about. It is getting cold here in state college...but we are lucky that we have not had any snow yet....Dave's sister says there is snow in Rexburg and I have a friend in SD and they got snow this morning....so I guess "SNOW, SNOW, SNOW" is what we have to look forward to this winter. Dave and I went and bought our winter jackets and stuff becasue we heard that it can snow anytime once fall starts. Dave got a new calling....he is the financial clerk...and I do not have one yet. We are excited for Halloween....Mom and Dad are coming to visit.

We went to DISNEYLAND!!! Its was the best trip ever. Had fun with Mom and Dad and seeing Reed, Summer, Dallin, and Avery.

Reed and Summer

Avery turned 1! It was an eventful day, consisting of being overly tired from church (which doesn't get out until 4:00 - with NO NAP!) and then burning her hand on the candle when we lit her cake! Pretty much it was all downhill until she ate some cake and we all discovered that she has her mom's sweet tooth! Then it was a happy day for her! (We got her a baby doll that laughs and she's not quite sure what to think about it. See attached photo.)

Summer got released as the primary president and is now a Relief Society teacher and is very excited about her new calling. Reed also got released as the priest quorum advisor and is now the stake YM's president (but he still hasn't been released as the Sunday School president so he is currently wearing 2 hats. Fun fun fun!) Summer is back in school this semester too so we've come to the realization that life just won't stop being busy for us!

At the end of the month we took a trip down to Vegas to spend the weekend with grandma and grandpa Romney and the Nelson's when they came through on their way to Disneyland. It was lots of fun for Dallin and Avery to play with their cousins. Dallin and Joseph had a great time quoting Star Wars and having light saber duels and Avery had so much fun playing dress-up with the girls. It was lots of fun!
