The Denver Nelson's

October has been a busy month for us. The kids all had a great time for Halloween. The festivities began with our ward's fall festival dinner which was fun and a good dinner. Then we had trick or treating at the library for the girls story time. We go to story time every week but the week of Halloween they were able to dress up and then go trick or treating around the library. They loved it. They go with one of their friends and she was Little Red Riding Hood and the girls were Aurora and Cinderella. They were so cute. Then on Friday we all went up to Timberline and watched Joseph in his school parade. The girls were able to dress up and watch the parade while Joseph marched in it. It was very nice and warm weather which made watching it very pleasant. Then Joseph had his class party right after the parade, it sounded like he had a fun day at school. When the class makes good choices they earn marbles to put in a jar and then when the jar is full they have a marble party. So along with the Halloween party they had a marble party as well. Fun, Fun, Fun for them. After school we got ready for the trunk or treat at the church. Then they went around with Mike at the trunk or treat and I handed out a lot of candy. We had two wards there and lots of kids. We then went to a couple of friends houses in the neighborhood and went home. The kids changed into their jammies and then stayed up until 8:00 handing out candy to all the trick or treaters who came by. They loved handing out the candy and called the trick or treaters customers. We all had a great time. Good family memories. We were able to find out about Mike's job which went well. Janus cut back 10% of its work force so for about a week we were not sure what was going to happen there. They cut out an entire portfolio accounting department and blended into Mike's department. So, he was able to keep his job at least for the time being. His responsibilities have changed and what he is in charge of has changed, but he seems happy with that and says the change is good. So we are both relieved about that. We found out last week that the baby is in fact a girl. I have thought maybe a girl since 20 weeks but I was not sure until it was confirmed. We are all excited although some of us are a little surprised. I think that it will be great age wise for the twins and this new baby. Only four years, I think that will be perfect. We are very happy with the news.
