Your Mother and I have had a great 4 month stretch of
visits with the all the family Groups. Paula's family in September,
Reed's family in September,Tiffany's family in October, Kenny's
family in November and we look forward to the visits of Tiffany's
and Reed's family over the Christmas Holidays.
All of these visits have reminded us of the Great Blessings of
eternal family family relationships. We complement each of you
for the great work you are all doing to raise your families
according to the guidelines on the Family issued by the First
Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles in 1995.
We are all receiving great blessings because we do all we can to
guide our families by following the will of the Lord in our lives.
In preparation to celebrate the birth of our Saviour this Chirstmas,
I offer you some thoughts on the one attribute of the Savior that we
all need to work on the hardest. The ability to "Forgive those who
Trespass against us"... We know that He forgave the soldiers who
crucified him and He asked his father also to forgive them also.
That is the Great Example of our Savior in dealing with those around
us.
"Forgiveness does not change the past, but it does enlarge
our future. We can consciously chosse the thoughts that we
allow to fill our minds, our hearts, our lives. There are two things
we should learn to forget: the good we have done to others, and
the evil they have done to us. Unfortunately, many of us
remember the things we should forget, and forget the things
we should remember." - Forgiveness - The Healing Gift we Give
Ourselves - Cheryl Carson
During this Christmas Season with all of the Great Gifts we give
each other - let us all give the Gift of Forgiveness
to each other and to all those we love.

Happy Holidays to everyone from Las Vegas,
We can't beleive it is already Christmas time. Thanksgiving is over and now we are going to be decorating and getting ready for the Christmas season. We are so excited.
We had a great Thanksgiving with Kenny and Jeni. They came, as you know the Saturday before Thanksgiving. We had a birthday party for Anna and made her dinner she requested which was chicken codon bleu, 7 layer salad, green beans and twice baked potato. We opened presents and then had an ice cream cake for desert. They all then went to Disneyland and had a wonderful time. I'm sure they are going to tell you all about it.
They left Sunday afternoon and came back Thursday afternoon just in time for Thanksgiving dinner. We had some other people over as well. What a great day it was and lots to be thankful for. The one couple we had over brought their Wii game. They offered to leave it here for the kids to play it while they were still here. They had a gread time playing it. My favorite game was the cow racing game. It is so much fun to play.
On Friday a friend of ours, Ed Demille, came over and brought some of his guns and talked with the kids about the guns and gun safety. Then Kenny, Norm, Corbin and Ed went out shooting. One of the rifles that Corbin shot knocked him right on his bottom. They all said they had a great time. I'm sure Kenny will tell you more details. THe rest of us went to Bass Pro SHop and had a great time. They had a whole section there that was set up for kids. Santa was there. We got a picture with him and then played a lot of different games and activities. We then went and saw the fish at the acquarium. We then had the Elders over for dinner and after that went to see the Christmas lights as the Ethel M Chocolate factory cactus garden and then went in and saw the Chocolate factory and saw and read how they make chocolate. It was a great day.
On Saturday we went hiking out at Red Rock. It was a beautiful day. What a fun hiking trail we chose. It was about 2 miles total. What a great day.
Have a great December and know how much we love you and you are always in our thoughts and prayers.
