The Flordia Steele's
Well October is done and now it is November....and it offically FALL in Florida. We are wearing pants and shoes!!! I thought that I would never see the day that I would ever feel cold weather again. We go running in the mornings as a family and we bundle Benjamin up so he can stay nice and warm. It has been between te 30's and 40's when we go running. Well Halloween was a success. Benjamin was a cow with a cow bell around his neck. He liked running around with his cow bell.....it made A TON of noise. He thought he was pretty hot stuff in his costume. We went to our ward trunk or treat and got lots of candy. Dave and I raid Benjamin's Pumpkin for the good candy!!! We got invited over to a friends house for dinner and Trick or Treating on Halloween night. So we go over for dinner and one of their little boy starts throwing up.....with the stomach flu. So we didn't go Trick or Treating.....instead we left our friends house and went to McDonald for a Ice Cream Cone. Benjamin got his very own "CONE" and he was very excited. He said "CONE" for the rest of the night. But now two days later Benjamin is throwing up everywhere...so yes Lysol does not work germs still get passed. So as for Dave and I....Dave is still studying for the LSAT and loving every minute....NOT. I am taking care of a sick kid and when Benjamin gets better....I am suppose to host play group for the ward at my house this week. So other than the stomach flu we are doing great. We like Florida now that it is getting cooler. So just pray for us that Benjamin only has the 24 hour flu bug. Love you all. Love the Steele's

Spider Cupcakes

1 (18.25 ounce) package chocolate cake mix
1 pound black or red shoestring licorice
1 (16 ounce) can white frosting
48 pieces candy corn
48 cinnamon red hot candies
1/4 cup orange decorator sugar
DIRECTIONS
1. Prepare cupcakes according to package directions. Let cool completely.
2. Cut licorice into 3 inch sections. Working with one or two cupcakes at a time, so the frosting doesn't set before decorating, frost the cupcakes with the white frosting. Insert licorice pieces into the outer edges of the cupcakes to make the legs of the spider, 3 legs on each side (4 takes up too much space). Place two pieces of candy corn on the front of the cupcake for fangs and use two red hots as eyes. Sprinkle with decorator sugar. Repeat with remaining cupcakes.
Grandma and Grandpa Romney
September 2008 was a very eventful month. Mom and I spent 2 nights in St. George and
Had fun with Dallin while Summer gave birth To Avery Jade. What a cool name! She is as Beautiful as her name is cool. Dallin gave Grandpa a good work out keeping Up with him at the pool, bowling, etc.We enjoyed visiting Reed’s Seminary building And seeing his office and class room. We have enjoyed all the web cam’s that we Have had with everyone this month. If you did not hear – Derrick Riddle and his Wife had their first baby boy a couple of week Back. He was several weeks premature so We think he still may be in the hospital. Grandpa has been very busy at work. I was Assigned to work with the VA Hospitals across The USA. It has been a lot of extra work but It has been successful so I am thankful for the Lord’s help in my work.I hope you all recognize the help of the Lord In all aspects of your life. He does help us With everything we do. Often the Lord’s time Table for blessing us is different than what we want. So, don’t get discouraged if you don’t receive The blessings you want exactly when you Want them. Please remember to pray for the health of Your Grandmother. She had a couple of Vertigo attacks in September so we need to Pray for her relief from that affliction.
We love you all!

Kenny and Jeni Romney
We have had a super busy last few months. In August we went to the Oregon Coast for a week with some friends of ours, the Behunins. We had a great time! It was cool and rainy much of the time but the kids still had tons of fun. We camped across from the beach in campgrounds with our trailer. One of the highlights was playing with all the fun things in the tide pools at low tide including starfish, sea enenamy (Daniel calls them sea enemies because they try to “suck your finger off”), clams, seashells etc. They loved flying kites and playing in the sand and the ocean. One day we went to Newport Beach. We saw huge crabs, sea lions sunning on the docks, and tons of smelly fish. We ate “real” clam chowder at Mo’s, fresh pulled taffy from the taffy shop, and ice cream from the Tillamook Cheese Factory. After we had only been there less than 24 hours and Andrew had soaked 3 of his 4 pair of shorts I had brought him (nothing ever dries because it is too cool and humid) I was scolding him for getting in the water AGAIN when he had promised he wouldn’t. He said “but Mom, I didn’t get in the water, the water came up and got me!” What can I say? Another great thing we did in August was go to the Twin Falls Temple open house. What a blessing it was to take our children to tour the temple! Afterwards we talked about everyone’s favorite part and the strong spirit that is in the temple. How blessed we are to be a forever family! Right after we got back from Oregon, school, soccer, piano and gymnastics started. Gone are the lazy days of summer. LWe are back into the regular schedule. Andrew and Becca started Kindergarten. After Jeni picked them up on their first day Becca said “We did NOT learn to Read and we didn’t even do Math!” I think her older sister had planted some pretty high expectations in her head. They are all doing great (but Poor Daniel is pretty lonely). At the beginning of September Kenny got a wild hair in his nose to post our car and van on Craigslist one Saturday morning. We had been keeping the van because the AC died in his car and it was too hot to drive in the 100+ weather in the summer. Both vehicles sold that weekend and we were left with only the Suburban. We have been a one car family for the last month. It has not been too bad. Jeni doesn’t go many places that she can’t go on her bike and Daniel is happy to ride in the bike seat on the back. We have been looking nonstop for a vehicle that we can payoff in 6 months or less and is a reliable car. Last night we purchased a Nissan Altima, it is a 2001 but it only has 37,000 miles on it! It will be a great car for Kenny to go to work in and potentially be the teenager car in about 5 years. (We don’t really want to think about that!) We hope you are all doing great!

It is safe to say that September went so much faster than August! We are having so much fun with Avery. Dallin is such a good big brother! He is always wanting to help give her a bath, put her binky in her mouth, giver her loves and kisses. He is doing very well. Summer is doing fine after the C-section. She has recovered very well with no complications or concerns. Dallin and I took a trip up to Salt Lake a week ago to go to the Cougars game…It was so much fun! Dallin had a blast. He saw ‘Cosmo the Cougar’ the ‘big cougar’ the ‘boys in helmets’ the ‘football players tackling’ the ‘cool endzones’. He was in heaven. We had been planning this trip ever since the end of football season last year, and that is all he talked about all year saying things like, “Mom, I want to go the Cougars game” everyday. Summer and I would wonder about a month ago what he would have to look forward to after the game actually happens or what he would talk about. It didn’t take us long to find out. That night after the game he said to me, “Dad, I want to go to another Cougars game” and he has said it almost every day since then! That’s all from us, have a great Halloween month!
