The past six weeks have been very busy for us since we saw everyone at the reunion and funeral. I got back from the funeral and then Joseph started school. He has been in since then. He will break for three weeks beginning on September 25. He was invited to join an after school reading program that meets twice a week for an hour at a time. It is called Reading Together. He meets with a tutor who is in 4th grade and together they are working on two work books that help with his reading comprehension and retention. He seems to really like it. I am glad that he is doing it. He is also enjoying the piano lessons and loves his cub scouts. This last pack meeting he received his wolf badge and 5 arrow points. He also received three belt loops which were for archery, basketball, and geology. He got a badge for his twilight camp as well. Needless to say he had a fun night and excels at his scouting. He does great. He is now working towards two other badges and his faith in God religious square knot.
The girls are doing really well. They begin their ballet class again on Thursday, which they love. I am taking them a reading group every Wednesday morning now at the library which they also love. They do this during the school year and they go with one of their friends. They all seem to have a good time and my good friend Elizabeth sit in the back and try to stay awake. But the kids are having fun.
Mike is keeping busy with school. He is taking two classes downtown this semester. He rides the light rail down there to save on gas and parking for us. It seems to work out really well. He has a free pass on his student i.d. card, so he rides the bus and light rail for free. After this semester, he will have one more and then a summer term. He will graduate on August of 2009. We are excited. He is still working as the ward mission leader. We will have four new member baptisms on Wednesday, so that is good news. I have been assigned to be the new sister's visiting teacher, so I will get to know her better.
We all enjoyed a fun night out at the Rockies game a couple of weeks ago. They had a school night out for Timberline so we sat as a big group. Joseph had a great time and the girls were troopers, they did really well.
I have my ultra-sound scheduled for October 1st, so I hope to find out what we are having then. That will be fun to find out. The girls want to name the baby either Princess, Dora, or Harry Potter. That of course depends on the gender of the baby. They both have babies in their tummies as well.
We will talk soon. We have a blog now if anyone wants to look. It is thedenvernelsons.blogspot.com
